Frequently asked questions.

When is the SJC?

The event will run from3pm on Friday, August 29th until 3pm on Sunday, August 31st.

Can I stay longer?

No, we hand the building back at 4pm on the Sunday. We need everyone out so we can do the last sweep of the site to make sure everything is in a fit state for this.

Will there be a show?

Yes, details to follow.

How will I get my ticket?

The tickets will be managed digitally, your booking confirmation email will act as your ticket, we will not send you a physical ticket. When you get to site just let reception know your details and we will give you the event pass you have purchased.

Can I buy my ticket on site?

Absolutely. We can accept cash or card on site.

Is there parking?

There is parking and space for live in vehicles. As you enter the site, the top car park is the first right. Please use this as the parking nearer the building is reserved for other building users and people with access requirements.

Can I bring my pet/dog?

Sadly the site does not allow pets inside the building but they are fine outside.

Can I use my *insert thing with wheels*?

Due to the site restrictions things like unicycles, snake boards and electric skateboards are not allowed inside the building.

There is space outside the building to use these things however the event is not insured for these activities. You do these things at your own risk.

Camping info:

Are campfires allowed?

No

Can I cook using a camping stove?

Yes, there will be a safe space set out for you to use camping stoves. Please only use this space and do not light a stove in your tent or near the building.

There will also be a kettle/microwave in the kitchen for convention use.

Are there toilets/showers?

The camping is right next to the building which will be open 24 hours. There are showers and toilets connected to the main hall.

Will there be electricity at the campsite?

No, please plan ahead for this.

It’s Scotland and the weather can be mental? Or what if my tent breaks? Or I’m freezing?

If something goes dramatically wrong, we will have a small amount of indoor space available for sleeping and there will be some hot water bottles at reception.
